We are delighted to inform you that Jurnal Farmasi Sains dan Komunitas (Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Community) has been re-accredited by the Indonesian government and successfully maintained as SINTA-2 Journal (No. Decree: 158/E/KPT/2021). This decree is effective from 2020 to 2025. We appreciate all authors, editors, reviewers, publishers, and parties involved, for serving valuable contributions in our editorial and publishing process. We will keep our work to publish more high quality articles in this journal and contribute more in the field of pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy community.

In this special occasion, I would like to thank Prof. apt. Enade Perdana Istyastono, Ph.D. for his service and dedication to maintain the quality of the journal. During his leadership, he successfully improved the quality of the publications as well as the journal management system. He stepped down his chair on January 28, 2022 but he still be with us as our Advisory Editorial Board and will continue to serve his excellent contribution to this journal.

We realize that there will be a huge challenge to enforce our editorial works in the future. We consider all aspects to serve the authors and readers better than before. In order to maintain our service, we would charge the accepted manuscript with article-processing-charge (APC) of 800,000.00 IDR (Rp. 800.000,00; delapan ratus ribu rupiah). The charge is apllied for accepted manuscript only. The APC will be apllied for submissions after June 14th, 2022.

As a side note, we are calling for article to be published in our journal. If you have anyone in mind who might be interest in making contribution to Jurnal Farmasi Sains dan Komunitas (Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Community), please feel free to share this information.

Happy New Year 2020!

Hopefully, this year we will publish more high quality articles in this journal and contribute more in the field of pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy community.

First of all, I would like to thank Mr. Florentinus Dika Octa Riswanto, M.Sc. for his service as the Editor in Chief of this journal until June 2019. He stepped down this chair after 3 years successful leadership. Being SINTA-2 accredited by the Indonesian government was achieved during his service. He is now busy pursuing his Ph.D. degree in pharmaceutical sciences. We wish for his successful and fruitful Ph.D. program. I personally would like to have him back in this chair as soon as he obtains his Ph.D. degree.

Secondly, It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Dr. Rita Suhadi, Apt. on Sunday, October 20, 2019. She had been a valued member of our editorial team as one of the vice editor in chief since the beginning of the online version of this journal. She will be missed. We thank Dr. Phebe Hendra, Apt. for her willingness to continue Dr. Rita's contribution as the vice editor in chief covering manuscripts in the field of clinical and community pharmacy.

Thirdly, we plan to provide better services for authors and readers by providing quicker editorial decisions for submitted manuscripts with higher standard of reviewing processes. We will still maintain the open access philosophy of this journal. However, we regret to inform you that we will charge the accepted manuscript with article-processing-charge (APC) of 500,000.00 IDR (Rp. 500.000,00; lima ratus ribu rupiah). The detail of this APC will be appended in the author guideline. Submitted articles before the formal announcement of the adding APC to the author guideline are not subjected of the payment of the APC.

Last but not least, we are calling for article to be published in Jurnal Farmasi Sains dan Komunitas (Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Community). We plan to set a system that could provide first editorial decision in three days. We hope you enjoy and happy publishing your works with us.
